Vintage POLCINI Enamel Articulated Fiddler Violin Player Figural Pendant Necklace

What a fabulous piece! This vintage POLCINI articulated figural pendant necklace features an oversized whimsical fiddler or violin player with wonderful movement and personality.

The musician has a textured silver-tone body accented by a gold-tone violin and coordinating gold-tone rope-style chain. His expressive enamel-painted face features black hair and mustache, rosy cheeks, and a jaunty silver-tone hat.

What really makes this pendant special is the articulation. The figure moves at the waist, both knees, and one shoulder. Even the violin and bow move, giving the large figural pendant an almost marionette-like quality.

A small maker's plaque on the reverse is signed POLCINI. The lettering has become faint with age, but the pendant matches a known signed example of this design.
