Vintage Juliana Green Lucite Pear Drop Charm Bracelet Caged Collection IIJJ#9343

A striking and beautifully documented vintage Juliana (DeLizza & Elster) charm bracelet featuring five oversized, glowing green Lucite pear-shaped drops suspended from a decorative gold-tone fancy-link chain.

Each substantial drop measures approximately 1.5 x 1 inch and is made from richly colored translucent green Lucite. The stones are not marbled; their clear, saturated green coloring allows light to pass through them, creating a wonderful luminous, almost jewel-like glow.

This bracelet has an especially interesting connection to DeLizza & Elster's documented caged jewelry collection. Frank DeLizza recalled the company's caged jewelry as a successful later design group, describing the expanded collection as a “big winner” that continued into the following season.

Although the bracelet itself does not incorporate the openwork cages, its relationship to the caged collection is documented through a known pair of coordinating Juliana earrings. Those earrings use the same distinctive oversized translucent green pear-shaped Lucite elements, paired with elaborate openwork gold-tone cages. Photographs of the matching earrings are included with this listing for design documentation and comparison; the earrings were previously sold and are not included.

The bracelet itself showcases the green Lucite drops in decorative gold-tone settings, allowing each to move freely from the chain. The fancy textured gold-tone chain is an important part of the design, complementing the elaborate metalwork seen in the coordinating caged pieces.

Measuring approximately 7.8 inches long, the bracelet has wonderful movement and presence on the wrist. The unusually large Lucite drops, vivid translucent color and connection to DeLizza & Elster's caged collection make this a particularly interesting example of later Juliana design.
