Vintage Juliana Pink Glass Geode Pink Rhinestone Brooch IIJJ#9428

A beautiful vintage Juliana by DeLizza & Elster brooch centered with a large pink glass “geode” stone surrounded by an elaborate framework of pink rhinestones.

The oversized oval center has the wonderful fractured, crystalline appearance associated with DeLizza & Elster’s glass geode stones, with shades ranging from deep rosy pink and red to softer blush and creamy pink.

Around the center are multiple open loops formed from bright pink rhinestone chatons, creating an airy scalloped frame that gives the brooch a very different appearance from more traditional halo-style Juliana geode designs.

Frank DeLizza recalled DeLizza & Elster’s use of large oval glass geodes made in quartz-like colors, and geode jewelry is also illustrated in Ann Pitman’s Juliana reference material.
