Vintage Japan 7-Strand Blue Swirled Art Glass Bead Faux Pearl Necklace

Beautiful vintage Japanese seven-strand glass bead necklace in a wonderful combination of aqua, cobalt blue, clear and creamy white.

The seven strands are filled with an especially interesting assortment of beads, including aqua glass bugle beads, clear seed beads, flattened faceted clear glass beads, blue swirled art-glass beads in flattened petal-like shapes, and creamy glass faux pearls. The varied shapes, colors and textures give this necklace lots of dimension and sparkle.

A particularly pretty feature is the ornate push-in clasp, decorated with dimensional blue plastic flowers surrounding a faux pearl center. The decorative clasp can be positioned slightly toward the side when worn, making it an important part of the design rather than simply a closure.

The clasp is signed Japan.
